I'm a 5'6" woman looking for an experienced, fun, intellegent
dance partner. I taught ballroom for several years (american &
international, smooth, latin, swing, salsa, etc...) although I
have not used it much in the last few years, dancing is one of
my passions. I currently teach Mid-Eastern Belly Dancing, but

I make my living as a Software Engineering Consultant, currently
working in medical equipment. I teach & perform Belly Dancing
several nights a week. My other interests include horses (hunter/jumper/dressage),
SCUBA, backpacking, as well as other outdoor and intellectual
pursuits.
I got into dancing first thru the belly dancing (my first love!)
then started couples dancing in the disco era. Later I studied
ballroom and then became a teacher. I've also studied flamenco
and hula. I dance because when the music is on I can't sit still.
I couples dance because there is something magic in the interaction
between people when they move together with each other and the
music.
My goals: develop a dance partnership with an interesting man
that is a fun place to play and learn and enjoy. Although I'm
not looking for a relationship, anything is possible.

The hardest part of this form to fill in was "level"
because it's so varied. I follow very
well, but don't know many of the steps well enough to do them
on my own. My level ranges
from beginner in country-western to intermediate/advanced in american
smooth and amer. latin.
At a social ballroom dance, I can do every dance, I just prefer,
not to mention being
better at, some over others. I do mostly american (since I dance
socially without a
steady partner), but I do know some international (cha-cha, rumba,
waltz, quickstep, v. waltz).
Physically, I am 5'6" (5' 8.5" in dance shoes), 165
lbs.
I love foxtrot and e. swing music. I dance because I enjoy it.
I don't have any goals other
than continuing to enjoy it and improving my knowledge and style.
